THE TL;DR

Helping people create their life's best work, together

I love making better spaces for people to create in, which is why I'm passionate about designing creative and developer tools and building community through in-person events.

MY DESIGN STRENGTHS

Solving difficult, deeply technical problems

I lean into complex design and product strategy problems, particularly in technical domains. Diving into code, prototyping with LLMs, cross-referencing existing patterns, and extensively documenting decisions are a regular part of my design process.

Creating polished work across design disciplines

Before I knew product design existed, I was a graphic designer and spent a lot of time dabbling in adjacent disciplines like illustration and animation, which taught me the foundations of designing beautiful interfaces and are spaces I still love to work in today.

Staying curious and tuned into the tech world

I stay curious and up-to-date with what's going on in tech (via Twitter, podcasts, etc. and document it on Are.na). I'm always trying and learning about new products, because I believe it is part of the job to understand the vast landscape we are building software in.

OUTSIDE OF DESIGN

I was a musician in a past life

Before design, I wanted to be a professional percussionist. It was here where I first learned how to dream big and work hard to make those dreams a reality. I'm currently drumming with the USC Marching Band, and have performed at Coachella, among other gigs. Previously, I was a member of the SFSYO and toured Europe with the 2022 NYO-USA.

I fill my free time with…

Catching up with my friends, more design (personal projects like designing fonts), playing games (mahjong, Monument Valley, and Stardew Valley are a few favorites) journaling, watching football highlights, and endlessly curating my Spotify playlists.
