Hi! I'm Jacqueline Guo (she/her) ☺︎ a product designer ⚙︎, percussionist ♪, and rising senior studying Computer Science + Game Design @USC ✌︎.

A little more about me:

1) Collector and creator of beautiful things ☁︎

I'm usually observing the world through the lens of my digital camera, connecting blocks and channels of designs and inspiration on Are.na, or interacting with new thoughts and ideas (or posting my own!) on Twitter.

2) Tuned into the tech world ⭐︎

I'm a huge fan of podcasts like Hard Fork, Lenny's Podcast, and Dive Club and am always joining new waitlists and TestFlights. If there's a new product people are excited about, I've probably heard of it (or already tried it!)

I love comparing products and understanding the unique stance that each one takes in their respective spaces.

3) Musician in a past life ♪

I've been playing music since I was 5 years old — it's taught me to dream big, and then put in the hours to make those dreams a reality. It's also given me some amazing opportunities:

I've had the privilege of being a percussionist in the National Youth Orchestra of the USA and San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra — memories I will keep with me for a lifetime. It was through those opportunities that I got to play some of my favorite pieces of music in some amazing concert halls — from New York's own Carnegie Hall to the Berlin Konzerthaus, where we opened the 2022 Young Euro Classic.

Today, you can catch me drumming with the USC Trojan Marching Band. I've traveled to over 5 new cities and states with the TMB (from Tempe, Arizona to Ann Arbor, Michigan) and have performed at Coachella and appeared at the Paleyfest Apple TV Panel with Mr. Milchick, among other gigs.

Needless to say, I love dragging my friends to see concerts at the LA Philharmonic ☺︎

4) In my free time, you can find me… ⏱︎

Designing fonts, playing games (mahjong, Monument Valley, and Stardew Valley are some of my favorites!) reading books about living a fulfilled creative life, journaling, watching football highlights, and endlessly organizing my Spotify playlists.

A few snaps from my camera ☺︎
